CNPC employee listed among Female Leaders in Kazakhstan's Oil and Gas Industry

Nazbekova Mira, an employee of CNPC (Kazakhstan) Aktobe Company, was listed among 30 Female Leaders of the Oil and Gas Industry in 2023, an honor roll released by Petrocouncil.kz on April 1.

Mira went to China to study in 2008. She received a Master's degree in geological engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2015 and joined CNPC (Kazakhstan) Aktobe Company in the same year. Now she is the head of the Public Relations Division of the General Manager's Office. Mira won the title of Advanced Production Worker of the company in 2016 and the Outstanding Contribution Award of the Kazakhstan oil and gas industry in 2021.

CNPC attaches great importance to the nurturing of local talents. It has been supporting Kazakhstan's education by establishing special education funds, sponsoring academic conferences of universities, and sending outstanding Kazakh students to study abroad. Over the past 25 years, it has sent 234 outstanding students to study abroad, many of whom have become the backbone of the company, promoters of Chinese and Kazakh culture, and embodiment of Sino-Kazakh friendship.
